Pape Clément 2015 was rated 20/20 points by René Gabriel, not even the great 2009 and 2010 received this score. The comment from Gabriel is even more thrilling, a sensational Pape Clément and creamy and massive, but not overly concentrated, James Suckling adds the best young Pape Clément I have tasted and Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate states that it has a drop-dead gorgeous bouquet that continues the ever greater finesse and this comes highly recommended. Well done to Bernard Magrez that has not only produced one of the greatest 2015, but has also decided to go for a very fair price.
Considering that the 2009 and 2010 both sell today at approx. CHF 200.00, this is by far one of the cheapest perfect scorers from the 2015 vintage.

Rene Gabriel 20 points: 50 Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 2 % Petit Verdot, 1 % Cabernet Franc. Extremely dark purple in color with lilac and violet reflections. Very intense scent of dark berries and lots of smoky nuances, licorice, dark noble wood, Guinness beer malt with black currant during the first approach. After a few minutes youll taste a fine nuance of cinnamon, blueberry mark and Tahiti- vanilla pod. The package of aromas is somewhat self-absorbed and remains within itself, although it shows some lavish approaches. Balanced with some royal astringency, creamy and massive, but not overly concentrated, remains blueberry-ish and contains a unexplainable fascination. 20/20 2024-2048.
James Suckling 97-98 points: Shows amazing depth of fruit with fabulous polish and length. Electric acidity. Full body, very integrated and refined tannins. Phenolic finesse shows here. Great finish. It lasts for minutes. Best young Pape Clément I have tasted. Grows in the glass. _
Robert Parker 95-97 points: The 2015 Pape Clement is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It was cropped at 40 hl/ha between 25 September and 15 October with berry by berry destemming. It has a drop-dead gorgeous bouquet that continues the ever greater finesse that has been imparted into this Pape-Clément in recent years. It is extremely precise, almost crystalline. The palate is underpinned by fine tannin, pitch-perfect acidity, a sense of cohesion and harmony that is outstanding. There is not a hair out of place on this barrel sample and it will doubtless evolve into one of the best wines this state has produced since the 14th century, when Bertrand de Goth was planting its first vines. This comes highly recommended - a Pape-Clément that will reward those who can resist temptation and cellar this wine for 10+ years. Tasted on four separate occasions _
